We made our annual trek with our dad’s family, the Calhoun cousins, to The Point Waterfront Restaurant on the Sacramento Delta, and were greeted with the sign below. Well, we needed to be sure that we agreed with those voters, and headed straight for the bar. Everyone had always spoke highly of the Bloody Mary, but being a tequila shooter, I had never tried one. Well, my back had gone out in the morning, so I needed a bit o’ medicine, and it seemed that the award winning Bloody Mary may just be the ticket.

Vicki, the Best Bartender, was at her station and shared her recipe with me while she was mixing up a double. I didn’t get exact measurements, but I figured the list of ingredients was a great start. Just to be sure, after tasting two of Vicki’s Bloody Mary’s, I had to agree, this was definitely an award winning bartender and beverage!

A few drops of Tabasco sauce

The most popular entree’s are always the fish & chips and crab cakes, both delicious and filling.
